It is divided into four subseries: Annual Reports, 1997-2004; Dean's Files, 1994-2005; Technology Files, 1996-1999, and Program Issues, 1997-2004. Materials include administrative information abou the schools and programs that belonged to the College of Professional Studies, including the School of Nursing, the School of Education, and the School of Health and Human Services. Records pertaining only to the schools overseen by the College of Professional Studies were removed from this series and added to the records of each individual school.

Mark Wayne Clark (1896-1984) was born in Madison Barracks, New York. After he graduated from West Point in 1917, he commissioned in the infantry. During World War I, he became wounded in combat while commanding a battalion in France. He served with the War Department General Staff from 1921 to 1924.
